EURODAPHNE

High precision elementary particle physics
at the Phi-factory Daphne

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to investigate problems on fundamental symmetries, electroweak and strong QCD physics that may be explored at the European Phi-factory DAPHNE. For a recent description of the main physics items addressed by the network see Physics at DAPHNE; a more extensive discussion can be found in "The Second DAPHNE Physics Handbook", edited by L. Maiani, G. Pancheri and N. Paver (SIS-Frascati, 1995).
The Phi-factory has been commissioned at the end of 1998. At the beginning of 1999 the KLOE detector, which is presently taking data, has been been installed.

The theoretical work of EURODAPHNE will concern:

Look here for a more detailed description of the project and here to know what has been done and how far the project has progressed in the first 12 months of operation.

Description of partnership

This network consists of 1 Coordinator and 9 Associated Contractors: Look here for a more detailed description of the team members and their activities

Graduate and Postdoctoral Positions

The training content of this project will be met by offering positions to young researchers, both post-doctoral fellows and graduate students working towards a doctoral degree (click here for currently offered positions). A committee consisting of representatives of all the partners will determine the most opportune way of employment of young researchers.
