The paradigmatic example of VP transition form factors is , which has been explored above the
-threshold
through
-annihilation and, quite independently, in the
interval through the
Dalitz decay
. The global set of
experimental data, taken from ref. [13], are
displayed in Fig.(8) . Again, a simple
-meson Breit-Wigner
gives a
rough description of the data in the two separate regions, below and
above the
-peak. The slope parameter
has been measured to correspond
to
, somewhat below the
-mass. Of course the data in the higher mass region give possible
evidence for excited
states. The situation is discussed in detail
by Donnachie and Clegg [14]. Daphne is expected
to play a major role in clarifying the whole matter.

The SU(3) rotated version of the above transition should be observed by Daphne and, if higher energies are
reachable, its crossed version
could be studied
too. Comparison with the
case could be of interest when
studying SU(3)-breaking in this sector.
