Reaching the Frascati National Labs.

The city of Frascati is located 20 Km south-east of Rome and about 50 Km east of the "Fiumicino" Airport.
The Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) are about 2 Km from Frascati downtown. The Lab address is:

Transportation

• Participants arriving by plane at Fiumicino airport :
  • Taxi cabs can be used to move from the Fiumicino (Rome) Airport to the city Frascati. Licensed cabs are strongly advised. These cabs are white cars showing the TAXI sign on the roof - the average cost for the trip will be about 70 Euros.
    
  • The "Leonardo Express" train can be caught from Fiumicino Airport and stops to the "Roma Termini" railway station where trains to Frascati depart nearly every half hour.
    
    • From Roma Termini central railway station to the LNF:
      Use trains (FM6) directed to the "Tor Vergata" station (very close to LNF): catch the train with final destination " Frosinone" or "Cassino" and get down at the "Tor Vergata" station (the second stop starting from Roma Termini).
      Walk out from the station and turn up-left, then walk approximately 100 meters to reach the Lab gate.
      Check the timetables because not all the trains with final destination "Frosinone" or "Cassino" stop at the Tor Vergata station.
      
    • From Roma Termini central railway station to Frascati downtown:
      Catch a train (FM4) with final destination "Frascati".
• Participants arriving by plane at Ciampino airport :
  • Taxi cabs can be used to move from the Ciampino Airport to the city Frascati. Licensed cabs are strongly advised. These cabs are white cars showing the TAXI sign on the roof - the average cost for the trip will be about 30 Euros.
  • A bus (of the Companies COTRAL/SCHIAFFINI) towards the Ciampino railway station. This takes about 15 minutes. Here are sometimetable:

    Then a train to Frascati station. It takes 10 minutes or a train to Tor Vergata (near LNF).
    

Note that on Sunday the service (bus and train) is quite reduced

Participants arriving by car

If you are coming by car, enter the ring motorway known as "Grande Raccordo Anulare" (GRA) then take exit 21-22.

Then follow the Frascati sign. Drive along the Via Tuscolana for about 9 Km to get to the Frascati town hall. To reach the Lab you must make a left onto Via E. Fermi from the Via Tuscolana at about 8 Km from the Grande Raccordo Anulare. On the left corner of the the intersection between via Tuscolana and Via E. Fermi, you will see an INFN sign. Hotels

Participants could also be hosted in Villa Mondragone, a 16^th century property of the University of Tor Vergata, set in a charming surrounding. However, they should be aware that there is a curfew at 10pm, and that no public transportation between the Villa and Frascati/Rome is available; a private vehicle is strongly recommended.
