The Beam Test Facility has been operational in 2015 with a good efficiency and we expect to close in mid December with 175 delivered beam-days (see final 2015 schedule), notwithstanding the time needed for the refurbishing of the experimental hall and of the shielding bunker, as well as the maintenance of several BTF services.
 
For 2016 we plan a major upgrade of the BTF control system at the beginning of the year, plus some make up of shifts cancelled in 2015, so that we expect to open the facility for new shifts not before February 8th, 2016.
 
In addition to the online form: http://www.lnf.infn.it/acceleratori/btf/php/btfLogin.php we warmly invite all applicants to send a one-page summary of the planned setup via email to btf@lnf.infn.it, including:

- infrastructural and diagnostics needs

- required beam parameters

- motivation or reference to approved experiment/scientific committee reports

- list of recent publication with citation or acknowledgement or any other reference to BTF.

We remind you that we will assign beam periods in unit of weeks (as a general rule), from Monday to Monday (with overlap in the morning for installation/de-installation), and that some level of rejection - due to the large amount of requests - is expected.
 
We invite to submit beam requests, at least for the period February-July 2016, by the end of 2015; a draft schedule will be released by next January.
 
We also underline that after the beam time assignment, modifications of the schedule are possible; all affected users will be promptly informed.
 
Finally, we remind you that the beam request contact person will be also the team-leader and responsible for the access procedures and safety of all the team members, unless a different team-leader name is indicated.
