Abstract: | Ultra-high gradient accelerating structures are in strong demand for the next gener-ation of compact light sources. In the framework of the Compact Light XLS project, we have designed a higher harmonic RF accelerating structure in order to linearize the longi-tudinal space phase. We here present the design of a compact TW accelerating structure operating on the third harmonic with respect to the linac frequency (11.994 GHz) with a 100-125 MV/m accelerating gradient. Numerical electromagnetic simulations were car-ried out by using the numerical codes HFSS and CST. |
