Ferrari (CNAO and LNF) The CNAO hadrontherapy facility: radioprotection issues Abstract <>      The CNAO facility, actually under construction in Pavia, is the first Italian center dedicated to the hadrontherapy with both protons and carbon ions.      The operation with high intensity hadron beams interacting with human patients requires a careful radioprotection study.         In this seminar a general overview of the CNAO accelerator complex will be given. Then some radioprotection studies will be reported, with a special attention to the airborne radionuclide production in the treatment rooms.
