KLOE Talk Guidelines
There are four classes of talks related to KLOE,
in the following we describe what they are,
and the role played by the policy board, PB, in each instance.
1) INVITATION TO SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS
Prominent KLOE leaders are invited to give talks on
various subjects, among which is KLOE.
It is a tradition in KLOE
that often the INVITEE would like to transfer the invitation
to a younger member of the Collaboration, even if it meant
abridgment of time, space alloted to the talk. In this case,
if asked, the PB assists in suggestions of appropriate candidates
to the original INVITEE.
2) KLOE INVITATIONS
Conferences often ask the KLOE Spokesperson to send a
KLOE representative to present the complete KLOE Physics
Program and Experimental Status. In this
case the PB nominates the candidate speaker, and
the choice is subject to approval by the spokesperson.
3) KLOE SUBDETECTOR INVITATIONS
When the invitation involves a subdetector/subdetectors,
the specific coordinator/coordinators nominate the
speakers and submit the request for the PB board's
review and approval.
4) CONTRIBUTED PAPERS
The subgroup coordinator writes the abstracts,
nominates the speakers, sends the whole package
to the PB board chair, J. Lee-Franzini.
The PB in this case filters the abstracts and
coordinates between the subgroups to prevent
ommissions and/or overlaps.
