KLOE Gigaswitch

This page is intended to provide information about the Gigaswitch, that is used in KLOE as the central piece of the Event Builder.

The actual configuration gives 10 FDDI ports. Fiber optics and no copper are now available.

The firmware is configured in version 2.2.

The ARP-server facility is activated in the Gigaswitch but some mistake was discovered in the active software (the ARP tables clears information within some seconds whitout IP traffic, while a minimum 10 minutes time is set by default). DEC is involved (may 10,1996) to study the problem

Maintenance contract is paid by the LNF Computer Center. The Gigaswitch's serial number is A532601003. The GIGAswitch kit is identified by DEFGX-AI. The maintenance contract is CLR-OMR-085 (central cluster) or 313A4 (no system). Interventions should be requested to the green line 167-820062.
