3. Open a file

No matter which mode you have selected you have to wait until the main window of the kbrowser appeared. See the figure above. In online mode it takes about 2 minutes, then you should skip the step of openning a file.If the "Browse Files" mode has been selected, as soon as you see the window above click "Option" menu to
switch on/off the Overlap mode. Once you switch on/off
the Overlap you have to reopen the file, so it's suggested
to do this option before. After which please select a file to browse. |

To open a file please click the "File" menu on the bar
and select "Open" item (see above image). You should get
the window like following

|
".hbook" is the default file type. Clicking the small arrow
to change it if you prefer ".root". The default directory is
"/runcond/root/physmon/". Double
clicking one of the icons with the sub-directories' name to
go down to the
sub-directories under default. Go on like this until you find the
file name on the
left part of the main window. If the file selected is a ".hbook" file,
it takes
about one minute to convert it to ".root"
