Concerning to kbrowser Overlap option, it works in this way: If you have switched on the overlap option then you must hope to display your histogram with the right reference histograms. To avoid messing up the reference histograms in the case that there is not only one reference file exist. The kbrowser only loads the reference file under /runcond/root/physmon/. For instance, if you open a file named phystrig_017808.root(or .hbook)wherever it is, the kbrowser loads the reference file with the name "/runcond/root/physmon/phystrigref.root". If this reference file exists the kbrowser works properly. Concerning to the online mode, kbrowser browses the histograms of the current run if the run status is "ALIVE RUNNING" and the kserver is running on krunc. If the system is not in the status of "ALIVE RUNNING", the kbrowser browses the histograms of the previous run. You can also check the online status of previous run by openning file like "/runcond/root/kserver_data.0XXXXX.root" in "BROWSE FILES" mode without overlap option. XXXXX is related to the run number. |
