Nanoscience and Nanotechnology 2009
INFN-Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati, Italy
19-22 October 2009
GENERAL VIEW
The Nanotechnology group at INFN - LNF organizes since 2000 a series of international meetings in the area of nanotechnology.
The conference in 2009 is devoted to recent developments in nanoscience and its manifold technological applications. It consists of a number of tutorial/keynote lectures, as well as research talks presenting frontier nanoscience research developments and innovative nanotechnologies in the areas of biology, medicine, aerospace, optoelectronics, energy, materials and characterizations, low-dimensional nanostructures and devices.
We plan, to submit selected papers, based on conference talks and related discussions, for publication on a dedicated issue of Journal of Nanophotonics http://spie.org/x3650.xml.
The following Invited Lecturers have already confirmed their participation:
Vittorio Bellotti, Pavia Univ., Italy
Fabio Beltram, SNS, Pisa, Italy
Fabio Biscarini, ISMN CNR, Bologna, Italy

CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
Authors wishing to submit their work for presentation at the conference can send an abstract as a doc or pdf file (max. 3 pages) to bellucci@lnf.infn.it by 5th October 2009, specifying whether it is meant for oral or poster presentation. The poster session will start on Tuesday 20th October 2009 afternoon and will continue until the conclusion of the conference. Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their submission by 20th September 2009. Additional detailed information can be found in the web site, which will be opened about 20th July 2009:
http://www.lnf.infn.it/conference/nn2009/,
or e-mailing the secretariat: colasanti@lnf.infn.it
A Special Section in the Journal of Nanophotonics will be published in 2010, based on selected papers presented at the conference n&n2009.
All papers have to be submitted by their respective corresponding authors through
http://jnp.peerx-press.org/cgi-bin/main.plex,
since the submission, review and publication processes are totally web-based.
