All the EU citizens participants need a valid passport or Identity Card, all the other foreign participants must have a valid passport.
Many cases need a visa as well: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Egypt, Georgia, India, Indonesia Iran, Kazakhstan, Moldavia, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yugoslavia.
If you need a VISA you may need a letter in Italian from us. In that case please register yourself for the conference first and then fax a request for VISA document support to +39-06-94032242. If fax is not available, please send an e-mail with the subject "VISA" to lp01@lnf.infn.it . We will then send you the relevant letter.The dead line for this request is April 15 2001.

Proceedings will be published by WORLD SCIENTIFIC PUBLISHING. Copies of talks transparencies will be accessible via the Conference web site.
The Auditorium della Tecnica is 5 minutes walk from two subways stations as indicated in the map, MAGLIANA and E.U.R. PALASPORT; they are on Line "B" Rebibbia-Laurentina (two stations before the Laurentina terminal)![]()
The public transportation company of the city of Rome is ATAC; it offers different kind of transports: buses, trams, subway (Metro), city trains (FM lines). There are different kind of tickets and passes:
General note I: Tickets usually have to be "time-stamped" when boarding the buses or entering the subway stations.

General note II: Conventional tickets are now being replaced by electronic passes, you will find both kind of "time-stamp" machines at the Metro stations and on buses and trams (where to insert your ticket should be self-evident)
Where to buy: Tickets and passes can be purchased at:
- tobacconists', newsagents', cafes, stationers', in the Metro stations and in kiosks near the main bus terminals;
- automatic vending machines, placed throughout the city center and in all Metro stations.
The most used tickets and passes are:
- BIT: 75 minutes ticket, price: 1500 Liras. (a BIT ticket, a BIT ticket from an automatic machine)
Note: this kind of ticket allows only one trip on the Subway (Metro) or city trains, and unlimited trips on buses and trolleys (tram) during 75 minutes duration (from the first "time-stamp")- BIG: daily ticket, price: 6000 Liras. (a BIG ticket)
Unlimited trips on buses, trams, Metro and city trains.- CIS: 7 days card, price: 24000 Liras.
Unlimited trips on buses, trams, Metro and city trains for a week.
Note: There are also tickets for travelling further outside the town limits (i.e. if you want to take a train to Frascati), like the BIRG (Biglietto Integrato Regionale Giornaliero, price: 8500 Liras).
