This workshop is meant to review the physics opportunities that e+e- collisions at the TeV scale would provide.
Even if in the past year the time scale for completing a facility capable of offering such interactions has grown considerably longer, it is true that the insights that cthis kind of physics will yield would be extremely valuable for our understanding of fundamental matter and interactions.
This meeting will in particular be devoted to review and update the status of the theory, phenomenology and some experimental issues for both leptonic and photonic collisions at the TeV scale. Topics include Higgs and Top Physics, Electroweak Interactions, LoopVerein, Photon-Photon Collisions, Vector-Boson Fusion, c Monte Carlo Event Generators, Supersymmetry cand Other cBeyond cthe cStandard Model Theories. The workshop will be structured in longer general talks in the morning and shorter working group presentations and discussions in the afternoon.
This event is linked to the previous conference 'ILC Physics in Florence' and takes places in the context of the activities of the Italian particle physics community involved in theoretical and phenomenological studies of the physics potential of a future TeV scale Linear Collider (this is a webpage illustrating some recent activities), in order to assess chow it can best contribute during the crucial upcoming years to obtaining final approval of this machine.
